Attitudinal Survey
An attitudinal survey is a type of research that helps to find people's attitudes, beliefs, and opinions regarding specific subjects. The survey is an essential tool for revealing the nature of consumer behavior, as well as for expanding the product line and for the advertising campaign, thus it is possible to gain information about the feelings of people on certain matters or articles.
The main objective of attitudinal survey is to evaluate the attitudes and emotions of a specific group regarding a specific issue. For instance, a business can have an attitudinal survey to check whether their customer is satisfied with their products, which can make them decide what to improve and what marketing to pursue. In this regard, input received through surveys serves as an important decision-making tool in sectors such as marketing, public policy, and social research.
While attitudinal survey focuses on getting what people think and feel about a subject, a behavioral survey is concentrated on showing how people act or behave in specific situations. For example, an attitudinal survey can have questions for customers about their preferences for a specific product, in contrast to a behavioral survey which might follow up on how often those customers buy the product. Neither contains the whole truth, therefore both forms of questioning give different, yet, complementary views, to the whole truth.
Attitudinal surveys generally consist of both closed and open questions. Closed questions can be those which ask respondents to evaluate their level of satisfaction on a scale from 1 to 5, while open-ended questions provide a space for respondents to openly express their thoughts. A case of a closed-ended question can be, 'How satisfied are you with our product?', on the other hand, an open-ended question may be, 'What improvements do you think should be made?'
The milestones of the first phase of an architecture project are the concept design (CD) and scheme design (SD). At the end of this phase, the main aspects of the project are defined. The project design meets the robustness and poor obligation requirements and the comissions are defined.
