Activity-based Creativity
Engaging in physical manifestations of learning to produce novel applications and technologies that is characteristic of activity-based creativity. It advocates active inclusion in the artistic process on individuals' part. The new development of this series of project aerodynamics despite the theoretical presentation of the project proves creativity of the student. Before a student can think of ways of improving an aircraft model, some skills have to be developed first. Let us think about some of the skills that a student has to develop before he or she can design and create a new aircraft model.
Creativity can be developed through different activities such as brainstorming meetings, arts and crafts workshops, teamwork and improvisation games. For instance, adding painting or sculpting to the team-building retreat can be a breakthrough to the participants' new ideas and develop their innovative thinking skills.
Creativity based on activity is not like traditional methods because it emphasizes the learning derived from experiences instead of the theoretical knowledge. This approach to creativity is in stark contrast with conventional creativity, which primarily demands individual thinking or theorizing and is built on the idea of free cooperation, joint effort, and practical learning, all of which are seen as factors that lead to increased movement, innovation, and spontaneity in the process of the generation of ideas.
Being actively creative is a great way to mitigate your stress and ascertain your mental health. It is a medium of art where individuals are able to express their feelings, a means to improve the critical skills, and a boost in self-esteem at the same time. A good illustration of it is an art workshop in which employees would appear not only to be practicing the art of community building, but also it would help participants express their feelings.
Integration of workshops, hackathons, or team challenges into their daily routines can make organizations implement activity-based creativity easily. For instance, a corporation might hold 'innovation days' frequently where the staff participate in creative events like design sprints or role-playing scenarios to identify solutions for their work problems.
