Active Assessment
Active Assessment is the method created by the learner mainly with reference to immediate feedback and continuous involvement in the process of learning. It plays an essential role in helping learners cultivate their abilities in critical thinking and self-assessment, as they become aware of their strong and weak areas, alongside which, a more interactivity-rich classroom is possible.
Active Assessment is a teaching strategy that is based on the constant evaluation, active participation of a learner, and flexibility of the educator's way of teaching. It is mainly characterized by formative assessments, peer assessments, and self-reflection activities that help with the immediate feedback on the student understanding and the rest of the learning process. By means of an interactive quiz during a lecture, teachers are able to measure the understanding of the theory among the students.
